I watched the City Council meeting from 7/14/2026 and would like to add my thoughts about the noise issue. My wife and I moved to Loveland thirty years ago because it reminded us of our home, where downtown is landlocked by the terrain. We have loved it ever since.
Downtown Loveland is caught in a generational conflict where it used to be a sleepy, peaceful little town. City Council, in the new generation, is try to grow a business tax base and business owners want to grow their businesses and at the same time people who probably lived here since it was a sleepy little town find it hard to live with the noise.

LOVELAND CITY COUNCIL AND PARKS BOARD ARE FAILING YOUTH SPORTS
I was the first speaker last night and my comments weren't about noise complaints, but rather the more muted subject of youth sports advocacy in our community. My comments are the culmination of a years-long effort to reverse the pay-to-play sports environment that has infiltrated our community. Unlike noise complaints (that scream for attention), the issue that I have been advocating for flies quietly under the radar...unnoticed by those most affected.
Most of our kids today won't be able to buy a home or afford college tuition because everything is so expensive. Now youth sports in Loveland have attained the same status. The Atlantic magazine recently published…
