For families in need, back-to-school season can present a challenge due to the ever-increasing cost of school supplies. Loveland LIFE Pantry seeks to bridge that gap with its annual Student LIFE Shop back-to-school event on Saturday, July 25, 2-4:00 p.m. at the LIFE Food Pantry. Backpacks include grade-appropriate school supplies, per the supply list provided by the school district, as well as personal care items and a spirit wear t-shirt. Event organizers expect to distribute supplies to approximately 250 students – all among LIFE Pantry client families.
“Every student deserves a good start to the school year,” stated LIFE Pantry Executive Director Carol Rountree, “And that starts with having the supplies they need to walk into the classroom prepared and confident.”
In addition to backpack and supply pick up, the back-to-school event will have representatives from NEST Community Learning Center, the Hamilton County Public Library and a resource coordinator from Loveland City Schools – all intended to connect families in need with resources to support success in the classroom. Saturday’s event will be a festive occasion, featuring hot dogs and drinks provided by Loveland’s Prince of Peace Church.

“Thanks to the generosity of individuals, businesses, and partners in our community, we have all the supplies needed to fulfill the needs of our client families as the new school year approaches,” said Rountree. “The Loveland community always comes through for us.”
