The Loveland Shorts Film Festival is set to bring filmmakers, artists, and movie lovers together once again in downtown Loveland for a weekend dedicated to creativity, storytelling, and independent cinema. The event runs July 31st to August 2nd.
Focused entirely on short films 20 minutes or less in length, the festival has quickly become a unique artistic event for the community and a welcoming destination for filmmakers from around the region and beyond. Organizers say the goal is to create a top-tier festival experience that filmmakers want to return to year after year.
The festival takes place in Loveland’s historic downtown theater, offering an intimate setting with a seating capacity of 180 along with additional workshop and concession spaces. Attendees will have the chance to experience carefully curated short film screenings, educational workshops, filmmaker networking opportunities, and community celebrations throughout the weekend.
Festival organizers describe the event as more than just screenings — it is a celebration of the art of filmmaking and the diverse voices behind the camera.
“Our mission is to bring a creative and welcoming environment for independent filmmakers by providing venues in Loveland to showcase their work,” festival organizers said. “We hope to inspire and nurture students of cinema by offering insightful resources to enhance their craft while giving the community an opportunity to immerse itself in filmmaking.”

Festival tickets officially went on sale May 1.
VIP One Day Passes are available for $30 and include a festival lanyard, access to workshops, screenings, morning coffee hour, after-hours parties, a Thursday evening pre-event and after party, and Sunday’s awards ceremony and continental breakfast.
Standard Day Passes are $25 and include a festival wristband, access to workshops, screenings, and morning coffee hour.
For those unable to attend an entire day, Single Block Passes will be available at the door for $10 per screening block.
The schedule includes six unique film screening blocks and three workshops spread across Friday and Saturday programming.
Organizers encourage attendees to come prepared to be entertained, educated, and inspired by an impressive lineup of independent filmmakers and storytellers.
