NEST Announces Roster for 8th Annual Dancing with the Stars Fundraiser

The date is set and cast revealed for this year’s Dancing with the Stars competition, hosted by  Loveland’s NEST Community Learning Center. This year’s Dancing with the Stars will take place Friday, October 23, at 6:00 pm at the Oasis Golf and Conference Center.

Inspired by the popular TV series, NEST’s DWTS pairs local Loveland celebrities and community leaders with professional dancers to compete for bragging rights and the coveted mirror-ball trophy. Of course, the biggest winners of the night will be local students who benefit from essential educational support and services provided by NEST.  All proceeds from the evening go directly to NEST, with this event being the organization’s largest fundraiser of the year. Last year’s event raised $147,000 via event ticket sales, live and silent auctions at the event, fundraising efforts of each participating star, and event sponsorships. This year's fundraising goal is $155,000.

Local stars compete with professional dancers who volunteer their time to choreograph and teach their celebrity partners the dance. Professional dancers come from many local studios. Judges for the dancing competition include Emilie LaRosa, Angie McNeil, Elonzo Coppins, Natasha Howard and Terri Bean.
