The Tigers also had several players recognized on the Second Team and Honorable Mention lists. Blake Hatfield, Rylan Litchfield, and Nathan Ryan were named Second Team All-ECC, while Owen Liu earned Honorable Mention recognition. Altogether, Loveland had 10 players honored by the conference.
But it’s now time for the boys to put the regular season behind them as the playoffs have arrived. Loveland is set to open OHSAA tournament play against Miamisburg High School Vikings in the Division I district semifinals on Tuesday, May 26 at 5:00 PM at Dave Evans Field in Loveland.
Tennis
Bode Zappin had a huge week for Loveland Tigers boys tennis. The freshman standout won the Division I sectional singles championship and advanced to districts. Bode is now headed to the Ohio Division I State Tournament at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason. The event is scheduled for May 28-29.
Loveland’s team season was also outstanding. The Tigers finished 20-4 overall and went undefeated in conference play at 10-0, while capturing the ECC title.

Boy’s Volleyball
It was an absolutely thrilling roller coaster week for Boy’s volleyball. They took down rival McNicholas on Wednesday, 25-14, 25-23, 18-25, 19-25, 15-7 and moved on to face Fenwick. The Tigers took the first two sets 25-15 and 25-22 before Fenwick string together three set wins to take the match and the Regional Championship.
The Tigers had an amazing season and finished as Regional Runners Up and a stellar final record of 22-4 (13-1), while Gavin McWaters was named First Team All State for his performance this season.

Softball
The Tigers’ softball season came to an end this past week with a 15-5 loss to Harrison. To close out the year against the Wildcats, Rylee Ripperger led the Tigers at the plate by going 3-for-3 with an RBI and a double, while Summer Rohlfs added a hit, a triple, and scored a run.
It was a great year for Loveland on the diamond, with many players atop the conference leaderboards. Rohlfs ranked second in the conference with a .495 batting average, while Payton Brown tied for third in home runs with five. Helena Keeton was also one of the conference’s top run producers, finishing third in RBI with 42, and Olivia Williams ranked fifth with 38 RBI.

The next round against Moeller, one of the area’s top programs, the Tigers gave it their all but came out on the wrong side of a 20-3 defeat. Boldizar, Daugherty, and Adam King each scored goals in the final game of the year.
Loveland had a 15-5 (6-1) record in 2026 and saw some great individual accolades, led by Kyle Harden being named the conference Defensive Player of the Year.
