Loveland City Schools Communications Director Elected to Statewide Position

Loveland City Schools’ top communications official is taking on a new leadership role at the state level.

According to a press release from the Ohio School Public Relations Association, Andrew Setters, Director of Communication and Community Engagement for Loveland City School District, has been elected to the organization’s Board of Directors. Setters was voted into the position by OHSPRA members, which includes hundreds of school public relations professionals from districts across Ohio.

In his new role as Director of Professional Development, Setters will help lead training and professional development opportunities for more than 220 OHSPRA members statewide. That includes overseeing planning efforts for the organization’s annual spring conference, which drew a record 196 attendees in 2026.

The OHSPRA Board meets monthly and focuses on strengthening communication strategies in education, expanding networking opportunities for communications professionals and helping schools build trust with their communities through effective outreach.

Before joining Loveland City Schools, Setters spent more than two decades in broadcast journalism and built a career in storytelling and communications. The release highlighted his “award-winning” journalism background and his belief in using storytelling to build stronger community connections.

OHSPRA President Patrick Gallaway said Setters will bring valuable experience to the board.

“Andrew’s expertise and passion for educational communications make him a perfect fit for our board,” Gallaway said in the release. “We are excited to have him on board and look forward to the contributions he will bring to our association.”

The board position is voluntary and includes serving alongside 11 other school communications professionals from across Ohio.

Ohio School Public Relations Association is a statewide organization made up of education public relations professionals, administrators and school personnel focused on communications, marketing and public engagement efforts for schools.
