Loveland Schools Earn Five-Star Rating, Rank Among Top 4% in Ohio

The Loveland City School District has earned a five-star overall rating on the 2025–2026 Ohio School Report Card, placing it among the highest-rated public school districts in the state.

According to a news release from Loveland City Schools, the district’s overall rating points ranked 26th highest out of 607 public school districts in Ohio, placing Loveland in the top 4% statewide.

The district also ranked among the top-performing systems in the region. Loveland was one of only 10 public school districts in Hamilton, Butler, Warren and Clermont counties to receive a five-star overall rating. Its 4.438 overall rating points ranked fifth-highest among districts in those four counties.

“We are incredibly fortunate to have a great recipe for success here in Loveland City School District,” Superintendent Mike Broadwater said. “Our families send us outstanding students who come to school ready to learn, our staff works hard to build a great school culture where students can succeed, and our community supports the district. Together, we make sure Loveland City School District provides above-average results at below-average cost.”

Six areas contribute to overall rating

The Ohio School Report Card evaluates districts across six component areas:

• Achievement

• Progress

• Gap Closing

• Graduation

• Early Literacy

• College, Career, Workforce and Military Readiness

The College, Career, Workforce and Military Readiness category is the newest addition to the report card. Districts can earn up to five stars in each category, and those scores contribute to the overall rating.

Continued strong report card performance

The district has maintained a strong record in recent years. Loveland earned an overall rating of 4.5 stars on the 2024–25 Ohio School Report Card and received five stars overall in both 2023–24 and 2022–23. On the 2021–22 report card, the district earned five stars in every category.
