Kent Blair: So Long, My Friend

Loveland's 2026 4th of July Parade
From beginning to end, the annual Loveland July 4th parade was filled with residents, floats, politicians and commercial vehicles. From the Shriners to mowers to Ghostbusters with a few Loveland frogs in between. New this year, a float competition, which included a tall tree from the Love Our Land float. Sign, Sign, Everywhere a Sign
Two updates. One short term, the other is permanent. Short term, the bridge over the O’Bannon Creek on Route 48 will be closed AFTER July 4th for an estimated 7 days. According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, District 8, current signage has been prematurely posted. Once completed, the bridge will have a new concrete overlay and modified asphalt expansion joints. Detours will be Butterworth Road and northward on Route 48.
