LOVELAND, OH — The Grail is now accepting applications for its 2026 Summer Crew, a paid leadership and learning program designed for young women and others who identify with the lived experience of being a woman or girl. The program takes place at Grailville, The Grail’s 70+ acre center just outside Loveland, from May 25 through August 7, 2026.
Summer Crew offers participants ages 14 to 22 the chance to earn money while gaining hands-on experience in environmental stewardship, teamwork, and leadership. Crew members will work on a range of community and ecological projects—such as habitat restoration, gardening, event preparation, and trail maintenance—while also attending weekly educational sessions on topics including power tool safety, financial literacy, wellness, and the arts.
Unlike a traditional summer job, Summer Crew focuses on personal growth and leadership development. Participants are guided by women mentors and encouraged to take initiative, solve problems creatively, and learn through experience.
“We want young women to discover their strengths, learn to collaborate, and build confidence in making decisions,” said Robin Green, The Grail’s Engagement Manager. “It’s about learning to lead—and to do that, you have to try, fail, and try again.”
Crew members can choose their own shifts, working Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and occasional Saturdays. Participants are paid $15 per hour for all program hours.
Applications for the 2026 session are due April 15, 2026. Interested applicants can download the Teen (ages 14–17) or Adult (ages 18+) application and return it by email robin@grail-us.org or mail to:

The Grail encourages applicants from all backgrounds—no prior experience or special skills required, just curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn.
