A major new community space is set to open its doors in the Loveland area next month, as the Cincinnati & Hamilton County Public Library prepares to unveil its new Symmes Township Branch.
The $18 million facility, located at 11850 Enyart Rd., Loveland, Ohio, 45140, will officially open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, April 11, 2026, beginning at 10 a.m. The celebration will continue throughout the day with activities scheduled until 4 p.m.
The new branch represents a significant upgrade from its previous location, featuring a building footprint that is roughly 30 percent larger. Designed with both sustainability and community use in mind, the facility includes renewable energy features such as geothermal heating and solar panels.
Inside, visitors will find a range of new amenities aimed at serving all age groups. Highlights include an interactive children’s play area focused on literacy and exploration, a dedicated teen space, and a new MakerSpace for hands-on creativity. The library also features a quiet reading area with a fireplace, expanded meeting rooms for community events, and a more open, marketplace-style layout for browsing books and materials. A drive-thru service has also been added for convenience.
Opening day will feature a full slate of entertainment and activities, including performances by the India Cultural Centre dancers, selections from Moana presented by Symmes Elementary students, live music from classical guitarist Richard Goering and the Deadbeat Millionaires cover band, as well as face painting, a photo booth, refreshments, and Busken cookies.
The new branch is part of the library system’s broader Facility Master Plan, a multi-year effort to modernize and expand library services across Hamilton County. The plan has been supported in part by a voter-approved levy passed in 2018.
With its expanded space and updated features, the Symmes Township Branch is expected to serve as a central gathering place for residents across the Loveland and Symmes Township communities—offering not just books, but a place to connect, learn, and spend time together.
