Loveland Tigers Kick Off Fall Sports Season With Plenty of Early Success

The Loveland Tigers are off and running in the 2026 fall sports season, with several teams already making their mark. Loveland boys soccer has opened the year with back-to-back shutout victories, while boys golf remains perfect at 3-0 and girls soccer has battled to a draw in its lone match. Football and girls tennis have faced early challenges, but both will look to build momentum as the season continues.

Boy’s Soccer

Loveland Boy’s Soccer began their 2026 season with a pair of wins, shutting out both Oak Hills and Indian Hill 2-0. Blake Rohlfs had a brace against Indian Hill while Drew Reis found the back of the next against Oak Hills. Brady Smith’s two clean sheets to start the year have been impressive as he’s saved all of the five shots he’s faced. They next travel to Anderson on Thursday.

Women’s Soccer

Our Women’s Soccer squad has only had one match on the early season, a 1-1 draw with Springboro. The Tigers got a goal from Charlotte Kady on an assist from Laney Glanz. They will take on Anderson this Tuesday.

Football

The stands were packed for Youth Night this past Friday as the Tigers took on Monroe to start their season. Head Coach Bob Mullins and the team looked to build on the positives of last year after going 4-6, improving by a win over a 3-7 campaign in 2024.

But things didn’t go the Tigers way, to say the least, as the Hornets jumped out to a 21-0 lead before the first quarter was done. Loveland answered with a touchdown to cut it to 21-6, but Monroe was relentless. They scored twice more and added a field goal to build a commanding 39-6 advantage.

Then, the thunder and lightning moved in, clearing the field and the stands.

Officials called the game at halftime, making 39-6 the final, as the Tigers fell to 0-1 on the season. They will regroup and look to bounce back as they face Lebanon this Friday. They defeated Northmont 38-17 in their opening game, behind 178 yards and three touchdowns on the ground from Logan Schmenk.

Boy’s Golf

Loveland Boy’s Golf holds claim to yet another perfect start to the year at 3-0. On, August 6 they toppled Little Miami 153-163 behind a 36 from Casey

Kopecky, a 38 from TJ Franta, and a 39 from Race Boyko. Then, on the 18^th they got another strong showing from Kopecky (32) and Franta (38), while Kellan Margraff shot a 41 to help beat Walnut Hills 153-172. Finally, on August 20 they downed West Clermont at the O’Bannon Golf Club 150-165. Andrew Knight led the way with a 36, while Kopecky and Franta continued their strong start to the season, both shooting a 37.

Girl’s Golf

Girl’s Golf is doing extremely well as they start their year. On August 10^th they shot a 193 against Taylor and Fairfield at Walden Ponds. Taylor Hermansen shot a 44 while Brooklyn James had 45 and Paige Sowder came into the clubhouse with a 49. Then on August 17 they traveled to Belwood Country Club to take on Little Miami, falling 203-177. Hermansen led Loveland with a 45, James was right behind her with a 51 and Caitlin Ryan carded a 53.

Girl’s Tennis

Loveland Girl’s Tennis is still searching for their first victory of the 2026 fall season, as they are 0-4 but have had some great showings. Addi Byron is 1-0 on the season for first singles, while the duo of Ellie San Marco and Maddie Redelman are also 1-0.
