In December, Loveland’s LIFE Food Pantry named local resident Carol Rountree as its new Executive Director. Rountree has been involved with the organization for many years as a supporter and brings to the role extensive leadership experience in the nonprofit sector and community-focused program development.

Her career of service includes leadership positions with the University of Cincinnati Foundation, Inter Parish Ministry and the Cincinnati Cares Program, among others. Throughout her career, Rountree has worked across nonprofit technology, fundraising and volunteer management.

“I am thrilled to be working back in a food pantry and directly with volunteers,” said Rountree. “Volunteers make the best co-workers because they are there because they truly want to be there. This role utilizes my nonprofit and management background perfectly.”

She added, “It is such an honor to be able to serve in my own community and help people in need right here in Loveland. Neighbors helping neighbors is an amazing thing to be a part of.”

Loveland’s LIFE Food Pantry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established in 1988. The pantry serves local residents facing food insecurity and financial emergencies through a variety of programs. Over the years, the organization has expanded both its services and physical space to meet the growing needs of the Loveland community.

LIFE Food Pantry Board President Kurt Trombley reflected on Rountree’s selection for the leadership role. “Carol has an extensive nonprofit network, not only within the Loveland community but also throughout the greater Cincinnati area,” he said. “She has a strong vision for the future of the pantry, and her personality will be a great fit with our clients and volunteers alike.”

Rountree is a longtime Loveland resident. She and her husband, Ed, raised their family in the community. In addition to her professional career, she has served on numerous local boards and committees and is known for her collaborative, people-centered leadership style, which she now brings to LIFE Food Pantry.
