A common question over the past year – “Hey, What’s Going In There”? “There” refers to one or two or three projects along Loveland Madeira Road: 1) the proposed townhomes Hill Street project behind the Post Office, 2) a proposed strip center consisting of an exercise/fitness center along with a separate building for a veterinarian office along Loveland Madeira Road to
Twightwee, which is adjacent to 3) a proposed convenient market and gas pumps on the northeast corner of Loveland Madeira Road and Lebanon Road. All of the projects began with tree and vegetation removal. The city issued a Stop Work Order to each project due to the lack of an Ohio EPA stormwater permit and/or city required submissions. All sites are to have erosion control installed.

Original 2017 Proposal/Hill Street Townhomes

Submitted proposal to the city’s zoning office regarding the Loveland Madeira/Lebanon Road projects.
Up the street on Lebanon Road, adjacent to Home of the Brave Park, a new mini-subdivision is slated to be constructed. Per the Ohio EPA permit issued for stormwater, Gibraltar Estates will be built along a new road (Gibraltar Court) from Lebanon Road curving around the existing cell tower and back to the neighboring Symmes Township water park and playground.

Gibraltar Estates Submission to Ohio EPA
The more recent future property change involves both the city and school district. Boike Park, alongside of Tiger Trail, at the high school is changing owners, with the school district taking possession of the property. The city will still have access to, and maintain, a water facility along the back corner of the property. This will also bring the Loveland Youth Football stadium and its
concession stand/storage building under school district ownership. Financially, no monies were exchanged as the city and school district came to an agreement concerning the downtown Tax Increment Financing district.
