The Loveland Daily News Invites Candidates to Share Their Message With Voters

Candidates seeking office representing Loveland are invited to submit letters or participate in podcast interviews
As Election Day approaches, The Loveland Daily News is inviting all candidates running for office who would represent the Loveland community to connect with local voters through our publication.
Beginning the week of October 5, The Loveland Daily News will begin publishing candidate letters and releasing candidate interviews on our podcasts. The opportunity will remain available up to Election Day.
Our goal is simple: to give Loveland-area voters an opportunity to hear directly from the people asking for their votes.
Candidates can choose how to participate
Candidates will have two options for getting their message to Loveland Daily News readers and listeners.
Write a Letter to the Editor
Candidates may submit a letter to the editor discussing their candidacy, priorities, experience and the issues they believe are important to Loveland-area voters. We will not print personal attacks and ask the canidates to focus on solutions and not just mudslinging.
Participate in a Loveland Daily News Podcast Interview
Candidates may also participate in an interview for one of our podcasts.
To provide a consistent opportunity for candidates, all persons participating in interviews will be asked the same questions, and those questions will be provided to candidates in advance.
Candidates can choose to participate in the interview in person, over the phone or online, making it possible for candidates to participate regardless of their location or schedule.
The questions will focus on issues and topics relevant to the communities and residents the candidates are seeking to represent.
The interviews are intended to give candidates an opportunity to explain their positions in their own words while giving voters the chance to hear and compare the candidates' responses to the same questions.
An opportunity for every candidate
The Loveland Daily News is inviting all candidates running for offices that represent Loveland, regardless of party affiliation or position.
We believe local voters benefit when they have access to information directly from the candidates seeking to represent them. Providing candidates with the same opportunities and, for podcast interviews, the same questions, is intended to give each participating candidate a fair opportunity to communicate with the community.
Candidate participation is voluntary, and publication and scheduling will be coordinated with candidates who contact us.
Candidates interested in submitting a letter or scheduling a podcast interview should contact The Loveland Daily News at news@lovelanddaily.com.
We encourage candidates to reach out as soon as possible as we begin publishing material the week of October 5 and continue through Election Day.
