Miami Township Announces “2nd Saturdays” Summer Event Series at Community Park

The Miami Township Recreation Department has announced a new summer entertainment series aimed at bringing the community together for evenings of live music, movies, food, and family-friendly activities.
The “2nd Saturdays” Summer Events Series, powered by Leroy Ellington Productions, will take place throughout the summer at Community Park and will feature a different themed event each month.
According to the Recreation Department, residents are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets while enjoying entertainment designed for all ages. Event organizers also said food trucks, drinks, vendors, and activities will be part of the experience throughout the summer series.
The township also thanked sponsors John H. Evans Funeral Home and Stitch & Style Alterations for supporting the events.
Summer Event Lineup
Elvis Tribute Concert — June 13
The series begins Saturday, June 13, with an Elvis tribute concert from internationally recognized performer Tyler Christopher from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Organizers say Christopher is known for high-energy performances covering every era of Elvis Presley’s career and was recognized by Graceland in 2025 as one of the world’s top Elvis tribute artists.
Sycamore Community Band and Outdoor Movie Night — July 11
On Saturday, July 11, the Sycamore Community Band will perform a concert beginning at 7 p.m. featuring music from Star Wars along with patriotic favorites.
Following the concert, guests are invited to stay for an outdoor screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens at dusk.
1.21 Gigawatts Cincy — August 8
The summer series concludes Saturday, August 8, with a performance by 1.21 Gigawatts Cincy from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Cincinnati-based band specializes in ’80s hits and classic rock favorites, promising a nostalgic night of music and entertainment.
Officials with the Recreation Department said they hope the series helps create lasting summer memories while bringing residents together at the park. Additional updates about activities, vendors, and food options will be shared through the department’s social media channels.
