Local Author Don Tassone has New Book Out
Longtime Loveland resident Don Tassone has worn many hats… corporate vice president, communications professional, college professor and author. Currently, the spotlight is on his role as author with the September 8th launch of his most recent book, Flash 100, a collection of very short stories. Flash 100 is Tassone’s 15th book; having previously published two novels, one novella, a children’s book and 10 short story collections.
Mr. Tassone describes this latest collection of stories as “…eclectic, ranging from fantasy to political satire…” with an emphasis on emotional themes such as connection, self-discovery, empathy, forgiveness, hope, redemption, regret and loss. “The inspiration for my stories comes from reflecting on real life – current events and issues, things I’ve seen or experienced,” said Tassone. “I write as an invitation to think more deeply. I write to move people,” he continued.

What’s remarkable about Mr. Tassone is not just his success as a prolific writer, but that his writing has been accomplished in addition to a stellar 30+ year career in corporate communications with Procter & Gamble and as an adjunct professor teaching public relations at Xavier University. He and his wife, Liz, have lived in Loveland for 36 years and raised their four children here. Tassone’s stories have appeared in a variety of literary publications and received wide critical acclaim. The Loveland Museum Center has repeatedly included Tassone in its local-author programming.
Don Tassone’s latest book, Flash 100, is available on Amazon, as well as at Bike Trail Books in Loveland and The Bookmatters in Milford. Mr. Tassone will be signing copies at Bike Trail Books’ Local Author Festival on September 27 at The Landing Event Center in Loveland.
