Downtown Loveland has a Deli!

On Friday, June 26, downtown Loveland will gain a long-anticipated sandwich shop when Favorite Things Deli & Market celebrates its grand opening. The deli, located in the space formerly occupied by Cocoa Bites bakery, will feature a “grab-n-go” deli concept, with some pre-made sandwiches and wraps, and most items made to order. It will also include a bodega/small grocery featuring local goods.

Loveland Daily News sat down with owner Leah Moss and store manager Josh Moss to learn more about their vision and motivation in bringing Favorite Things to Loveland. “For years, I heard people saying, ‘We need a good sandwich shop," stated Leah. "We wanted to fill a need in our community that feels familiar to people. Serving up great sandwiches and allowing other small businesses to get their products out there as well,” she continued. Moss shared that in addition to sandwiches and wraps, the deli will feature boxed lunches, salads, and individual charcuterie boards. The market will focus heavily on local products, like gourmet snacks from Trailside Provisions and fresh-cut flowers from Marmalade Lily.

Deli manager Josh Moss elaborated on the vision. “We think of our offerings as a fresh take on familiar favorites.” To that end, Josh says the menu will be seasonal, with a core selection of signature sandwiches and fresh options added daily. “My goal is to infuse something new into peoples’ day… with food,” he continued.

The Moss family is not new to Loveland or the food service business. They established the successful meal preparation business, All the Ingredients, in 2018 and opened its current brick and mortar location on Loveland Madeira Road in 2025. The family of eight moved to Loveland from Anderson Township in 2005. “We found ourselves spending a lot of time in Loveland for church activities and really liked this area,” stated Leah. All six of the Moss children graduated from Loveland High School.

It's clear that community is the driving force behind this business venture. “We want to become part of the fabric of this community, so that people feel like Favorite Things was always here,” stated Josh. Leah added, “We are hoping that we will be one of Loveland’s favorite things!”
