Mike Meldon is a Cincinnati native who found his home in the Loveland area in 1998 after graduating from Bowling Green State University.  Not long after, Mike earned his Master’s in Education from Xavier University and began what has become a 20-year career in the classroom. Today, he teaches high school history, helping students make sense of the past while preparing them to engage thoughtfully with the world around them.

Outside the classroom, Mike has been deeply invested in the Loveland community. He co-founded the local nonprofit Love Our Land, served as Chairman of the Loveland Tree & Environment Committee, and contributed his time on the Parks and Recreation Board. His passion for local stories and civic connection also led him to create and host The Loveland Weekly Podcast, where he highlights people, issues, and events shaping the community.

Mike is a proud parent of three children and a stepson. His children attend Loveland Schools, and his stepson is currently in college. Whether teaching, volunteering, or podcasting, Mike’s work is rooted in a simple belief: strong communities grow when people show up, stay engaged, and care about where they live.
